March is Women's History Month and we will be highlighting notable women in human services from past to present times in an effort to highlight the importance of our workforce in building a better New York in Albany on March 5, 2019. The human services workforce is over 80% women and an investment in our workforce helps to address issues around equity.
We hope to have a huge showing of workers and legislators to demonstrate the importance of investing in the human services workforce through the funding in our contracts for the minimum wage and a wage adjustment.
Please join us at the 3rd Floor Terrace of the Legislative Office Building at 10:30 am for the Notable Women in Human Services Legislative Breakfast and Award Ceremony. We will be engaging with legislators and staff in the Breezeway (between the Capital and LOB) and meeting with them in their offices from 12 noon until 3 pm! More information will be provided when you arrive.
